Project Overview
Located in Virar, Jivdhani Temple attracts thousands of visitors every day, especially during festive seasons. The temple’s large open parking area faced serious dust pollution issues, particularly during the summer months, when dry soil and vehicular movement caused heavy dust clouds.
The increasing dust levels were not only causing discomfort to visitors but also contributing to poor local air quality with PM (Particulate Matter) levels crossing 500 µg/m³ on peak days.
The Challenge
Due to constant vehicle movement, loose soil, and high temperatures, the parking zone had persistent air quality problems. During the summer season, these conditions worsened visibility dropped, and dust became a health concern for devotees and temple staff.
The temple management sought a sustainable and effective air pollution control solution that could quickly reduce dust without using excessive water or requiring heavy maintenance.
